The best way to get a perfect fitting shoe is to buy a shoe that fits perfectly.
That said, there are ways to make improvements on a near perfect fit.
If your shoes are fitting, but very tight in one or more area’s, stretching may be an option. For stretching to be successful the shoes need to be leather or suede and you need to be able to get the shoes on. If they’re boots you need to be able to close the zipper and the shaft needs to fit over your calf. Shoe stretching is not an exact science. Depending on the materials and construction, and how much extra space is required, it sometimes takes multiple stretches to get the fit right.
Sometimes stretching is not the answer. We may still be able to help, though. Softening seams will sometimes add comfort to footwear made from cloth, vinyl or patent leather. And for the calf that needs more space, we can often add an elastic gusset into the shaft of a boot.
If your problem is too much space in the shoe, we may be able to help with that too. By making minor adjustments to the interior of the shoe, we can improve the fit, adding comfort to your footwear.
